The Brown Cigar

Downy curls
of blue smoke
drift rising

skyward.  Turn
into white
contoured ribbons-

while clear breath
vapor and
air combine

born of the
brown rolled stick -
leaf now ash

grey remains
of green leaf
gently cured.
